British surreal comedy group Monty Python have released a new song – their first original material for 15 years.

The unveiling of The Silly Walks Song – you can watch it below – comes as the quintet confirmed this summer’s live shows would be their last.

Since their reunion last year there had been speculation the group, consisting of Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam and John Cleese, would roll out plans for an extensive world tour.

But a statement confirmed the five were so busy with individual projects they could not commit to Monty Python projects too.

The Last Night of the Pythons Live, at London’s O2 Arena in July 2014, went on sale today, April 4.
