Security forces in Cairo have clashed with supporters of ousted president Mohamed Mursi.
Made up largely of students, the group was demonstrating at the Al-Azhar university campus; a common site of unrest in recent months.
Riot police used buckshot and tear gas to disperse the protesters, who were reportedly trying to block traffic in the main street outside the university.
Egyptian officials have mounted a tough crackdown on Mursi and members of the Muslim Brotherhood.
They claim it is a terrorist organisation and have ordered the execution of hundreds affiliated with the group, while thousands more have been jailed.
