Protest against US human rights violations in Brussels
Amnesty International held a protest against alleged US human rights violations on the 25 of March, ahead of President Barack Obama’s visit to Belgium.
The protesters dressed in orange jumpsuits, as worn by detainees at the Guantanamo Bay detention centre, as they demonstrated in Brussels.
Obama participated in EU and NATO summits in Belgium.
Amnesty protesters said they were asking European leaders to raise some questions with Obama whilst he is in Brussels: namely, the issue of the death penalty in the US, the use of drones, and the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo.
