At least eight people have been killed and a dozen are still missing after a landslide in Washington state.
Around 30 homes and several cars were buried in what witnesses described as a wall of mud up to five metres deep.
It happened on a road near the town of Oso, about 90km north of Seattle.
The authorities say the landslide was caused by recent heavy rain and have warned some people to move to higher ground.
