Austria produced a superb display to down Poland and claim the World Cup team event in Planica on Saturday.

Four weeks after taking silver in Sochi, the quartet of Stefan Kraft, Andreas Kofler, Thomas Diethart and Gregor Schlierenzauer proved too strong for their opponents, securing the win with an impressive total of 1,045.6 points.

Poland, led by World Cup champion Kamil Stoch, produced a solid run but it wasn’t to be as they eventually had to settle for second place, 38 points adrift.

Norway came home third while Germany’s Andreas Wank, Marinus Kraus, Richard Freitag and Severin Freund finished fourth, missing out on the podium of a team event for the first time this season.
