Austria’s Marco Dallago kept his composure to claim the 2014 Ice Cross Downhill World Championship in Quebec on Saturday.
The 23-year-old, who only needed to reach the quarterfinals in this event to clinch the title, proved too strong for his opponents, securing the win ahead of local favourite Scott Croxall to wrap up a dream season.
Dallago’s brother Luca produced a solid run but it wasn’t to be as he eventually had to settle for third place with 2013 world champion Derek Wedge just missing out an a podium finish.
