Giant sculptures burn for Valencia's Las Fallas Festival
Valencia’s Las Fallas Festival was put to an end with “La nit de la crema” (‘The night of the burning’). More than 700 statues, large and small, burned during the night as a symbol of purification.
Following tradition, a 14.8 metre-high Moses sculpture was the last to be burnt in the Town Hall Square.
