Spartak Moscow have parted company with manager Valery Karpin.
The former Russian international has been at the club since 2008, first as general director, then as coach after Michael Laudrup left in 2009.
Karpin stepped aside to allow Spaniard Unai Emery to take charge in 2012.
Emery was sacked in November last year and Karpin was asked to take over team affairs.
Spartak are currently 10th in the Russian championship.
