The US Navy has boarded an oil tanker taken from a Libyan port by anti-government rebels, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
It was stopped in international waters 18 miles from Cyprus.
The fact that it managed to get past the Libyan Navy, led to the country’s prime minister being forced out of office earlier this month.
