Champions League preview: Arsenal and AC Milan out for revenge

Arsenal will be faced with yet another mountain to climb in the Champions League after goals from Toni Kroos and Thomas Mueller condemned the Gunners to defeat in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium last month.

Arsene Wenger’s men, who will be without the suspended Wojciech Szczesny, will take confidence from their last visit to the Allianz Arena at this stage last year when they triumphed 2-0, only to be dumped out of the competition on aggregate.

Elsewhere, Italian giants AC Milan will be looking to overturn a 1 goal deficit when they take on Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.

Los Colchoneros – currently lying in second place in La Liga, three points behind leaders Real Madrid – have not reached the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition since 1997.

The hosts will be without injured duo Tiago and Javier Manquillo while Rossoneri
boss Clarence Seedorf will have to overcome the absence of Riccardo Montolivo who will play no part in Spain due to a suspension.
