Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is to join Inter Milan on a free transfer in the close season, according to the Serie A club.
Although Inter confirmed Vidic has signed for them, they did not disclose any further details on the move.
The 32-year-old Serbian will remain as Manchester United captain for the remainder of the season.
Vidic, whose latter years at the 11-time Premier League champions have been plagued with injury, is out of contract at the end of the current term.
He joined United in 2006 from Spartak Moscow and since then helped the club win five league titles, the Champions League crown and the Club World Cup among others.
Both Man Utd and Inter look set to miss out on Champions League football next season.
United, under new coach David Moyes are currently struggling in 7th place in the league 12 points away from fourth-placed rivals Manchester City, who occupy the last qualifying spot.
Inter are fifth, 11 points behind third-placed Napoli.
