Dozen killed after car bomb at presidential palace in Somalia

Al Shabaab militants attacked the Somali presidential palace in Mogadishu on Friday with a car bomb and gun battle.

Somalia’s National Security Minister said at least 12 people were killed, seven of them Al-Shabaab attackers.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was uninjured in the blast.

In the past few weeks, the Somali capital has been hit by a series of suicide bomb attacks.
