Protesters turned out again in Belgium ahead of Thursday’s parliamentary vote to abolish age restrictions applying to its laws on euthanasia.
The proposed legislation which will extend the right to ask to die to under 18 year-olds has aroused strong opinions across the country.
While some fear vulnerable children may be talked into an irreversible choice others see its as a merciful release for terminally ill youngsters.
Under current law, they must let nature take its course or wait until they turn 18 and can ask for the right-to-die.
Belgium is one of a few countries where euthanasia is legal.
