Swansea sack coach Laudrup

Michael Laudrup has been sacked by Premier League side Cardiff after two-and-a-half years in charge.

The Former Denmark International helped the Welsh outfit win the League Cup a year ago for their first major trophy.

But this term the Swans have suffered a poor run of form, losing six of their last eight league games which has left them in 12th position but only two points above the drop zone.

Club captain Garry Monk and first team coach Alan Curtis will take over the reins for the what Swansea said would be the foreseeable future.
