France stun England in Paris

Toulouse centre Gael Fickou scored a late try to hand France a thrilling 26-24 win over England in the Six Nations at the Stade de France on Saturday.

The 19-year-old was given too much space on the left wing and punished Stuart Lancaster’s men with three minutes to go before the final whistle, denying the visitors a comeback victory after they had battled back from a 13-point deficit.

Elsewhere, Wales launched their bid to retain the Six Nations title with a hard-fought 23-15 win over Italy in Cardiff. This win sees them move atop the table ahead of Ireland’s opening game against Scotland on Sunday.
