'Tortured ' Ukraine activist Dmytro Bulatov wanted by police

Dmytro Bulatov a leading anti-government activist who organised car protests in Kyiv is one of three protesters who have been put on a police wanted list.

Bulatov has had surgery after claims he was tortured, telling local media sources he was crucified, hung up by his wrists and repeatedly beaten after he had been abducted and held for eight days.

He has pointed the finger at Russians for his abduction and visible injuries and claims he was left to die by his abductors. Police in the capital confirmed the activist was bruised and had received a cut to one of his wrists.

His alleged treatment has been described as a “barbaric act which must be investigated immediately,” by Amnesty International.

It is reported police and prosecutors have arrived are at the hospital in Kyiv where Bulatov is being treated prompting a stand-off with the activists supporters who are also there.
