Thirsty for anything on the recently jilted ex-girlfriend of the French President, the media has descended on Mumbai, India.
Valerie Trierweiler is traveling there on a visit organised before her split-up from Francois Hollande two days ago.
It has meant an unexpected spotlight on Action Against Hunger, whose work fighting malnutrition Trierweiler is highlighting.
“I cannot stand that these children have fewer chances than others,” she told journalists. “We should give the same chances to everyone. We have children who suffer from malnutrition. That is why I am here today.”
Prior to her humanitarian visit to India, Trierweiler was hospitalised for a week following revelations in a French gossip magazine of the affair that led to her split-up from Hollande.
