Bishwa Ijtema, world's second largest Muslim gathering
The first phase of one of the world’s largest Muslim gatherings ended outside the Bangladeshi capital. Thousands of Muslim devotees prayed for divine blessings, world peace and the revival of Islamic values.
The gathering, held each year since 1966, aims to revive the tenets of Islam and promote peace through prayer.
