Israel has arrested two Palestinians from East Jerusalem whom they claim were al Qaeda members.
The two were allegedly aiming to attack the US Embassy with the help of foreign suicide bombers posing as Russian tourists.
They were apparently recruited by an agent in Gaza. Hamas has denied the allegations.
Israel ‘s Shin Bet intelligence agency says it is the second report suggesting the militant network is taking root among normally unsupportive Palestinians.
