Ukraine parliament budget bust up

In Ukraine, there have been violent clashes yet again inside the country’s parliament during a vote over the 2014 state budget.

At least two deputies were slightly hurt in a melee which erupted after opposition MPs tried to unsuccessfully block proceedings.

The latest bust up followed Tuesday’s chaotic scenes which saw buckwheat, among other things, thrown in the chamber.

The budget was eventually approved by 249 ‘Yes’ votes.

Ahead of the vote, thousands of pro-government supporters rallied outside the parliament. The demonstration took place despite a recent ban on protests in the centre of Kiev.
