Cristiano Ronaldo awarded FIFA Ballon d'Or

Portugal and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded the Ballon d’Or for a second time.

The former Manchester United winger, who scored 66 goals in 56 games in 2013, played a crucial role in helping Portugal seal a place in the 2014 World Cup.

Having scored the only goal of the first leg in Lisbon, the captain saved Paulo Bento’s side in Stockholm, completing a sensational hat-trick to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win.
