Lewandowski agrees deal with Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski on Saturday agreed terms to join arch rivals Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old ‘s Poland international will see out the rest of his contract with Dortmund, which expires at the end of the current campaign before joining Bayern on July 1 as a free agent.

Lewandowski, who is the Bundesliga’s top scorer, has signed a five-year deal with last season’s treble winners.

It’s another blow for Dortmund, their fans and in particular coach Jurgen Klopp.

Last April another one of the club’s star players Mario Goetze also left for Bayern in a shock 37 million euro move.

Lewandowski’s deal was no surprise though.

The player – who was instrumental in helping Dortmund to the bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012 – announced his intentions to join the Bavarian giants in September.
