Morocco starts emptying stricken oil tanker

Moroccan authorities say an operation to empty a stricken oil-tanker off the country’s coast has got underway.

The ship and its 5000 tonnes of fuel ran aground near the southern port of Tan Tan last week while travelling from the Canary Islands.

So far no major leaks have been reported.
