Australian golfer Adam Scott has seen 2014 tee off with a victorious start.
The US Masters champion has been named 2013 Player of the Year by the Golf Writers Association of America.
He beat former winner Tiger Woods by five votes.
World number two Scott had a dynamic year last year, becoming the first Australian to win the Masters in April and claiming a FedExCup playoff victory at The Barclays in August.
He rounded off the season by winning the Australian PGA and Australian Masters.
South Korean Park In-Bee took the womens’ title, finishing well ahead of American Stacy Lewis in the voting.
Meanwhile, Kenny Perry beat Bernhard Langer to take the senior player honours.
