A French priest who was abducted in northern Cameroon has been freed.
Father Georges Vandenbeusch was kidnapped in early November.
French President Francois Hollande thanked authorities in Cameroon and Nigeria for their work in securing the 42-year-old’s release.
He highlighted what he called the “personal involvement” of the President of Cameroon Paul Biya.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius is travelling to Cameroon to bring Vandenbeusch back to France.
