Workers at Amazon.com’s German operations are to go on strike in an on-going dispute over pay.
The Verdi union is trying to force the company to accept collective bargaining agreements.
The union said had warned Amazon it would launch a strike call in the busy Christmas period when it would hurt the online retail firm the most.
Amazon employs 9,000 people in Germany and claims its pay is above-average compared to the rest of the mail order and retail industry.
