Woods' half-brother arrested after bogus bomb threat

The half-brother of golfing legend Tiger Woods was arrested on Thursday in Phoenix for allegedly making a false bomb threat at the government building in which he works.

58-year-old Earl Dennison Woods Jr is accused of calling in the threat at the Department of Economic Security.

After some 100 people were evacuated from the building and no device found, Woods – who is the father of professional female golfer Cheyenne Woods – later admitted to the department’s management that he had called it in and it was meant as a joke.

Woods was later released from jail although terms of his release were not immediately available.

He was charged with one count of use of an electronic communication device to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass.
