On day 2 of the LeWeb2013 conference in Paris, euronews’ Mark Davis received Bradley Horowitz, a speaker at LeWeb, for a Google+ Hangout On Air.
Bradley Horowitz is vice president of product for Google’s social products, including Google+. He has also led product for Google’s consumer application division, which includes Gmail, Gtalk, Google Docs, Google Voice, and Google Calendar. Before joining Google, Bradley served as Yahoo’s vice president of Advanced Development, leading acquisitions such as Flickr and MyBlogLog, and developing new products, including Yahoo! Pipes, designed to integrate feeds from across the web.
He also promoted efforts to open up the Yahoo platform and invest in innovation through internal hack days, the Brickhouse incubator, and the Yahoo! Developer Network (YDN). Previously, Bradley was co-founder and CTO of Virage, where he oversaw the video analysis company’s technical direction from its founding through its IPO and eventual acquisition by Autonomy.
Bradley was a PhD candidate at the MIT Media Lab, where he worked on projects related to computer vision, graphics and image processing. He holds an MS in Media Science from MIT and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
