Protesters are still out in force at Kyiv’s city hall.
Inside the building, fears the government is planning to use force are being taken seriously, with people preparing for police to storm the premises.
“We have the unbreakable spirit of the Cossacks. We are Ukrainians and our ancestors defeated much stronger opponents. Our spirit is unbreakable and we are not afraid of anybody,” said one protester.
To bolster this spirit, there is even a psychologist on site to give assistance to those who feel they need it.
It remains unclear if the state will try to retake the building, but a court deadline for the protesters to leave is running out.
