French giants Marseille have sacked manager Elie Baup following their disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Nantes on Friday.
The 52-year-old, who was hoping to get back to winning ways after losing to Lille last week, will be replaced by the club’s sporting director Jose Anigo.
Marseille, who are already out of this year’s Champions League after failing to earn a single point in their group, are currently lying in fifth place in Ligue 1, 10 points behind leaders Paris Saint Germain.
Mathieu Valbuena’s team-mates will next lock horns with Lyon at the Stade Gerland on the 15th of December.
