A UK parliamentary committee has been told only 1% of files leaked by former US intelligence analyst Edward Snowden have so far been published.
That is according to the Guardian newpaper’s editor who is appearing before the committee accused of having put the UK’s national security at risk .
The Guardian is among several newspapers which published leaks from the U.S. spy agency contractor about mass surveillance by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Britain’s eavesdropping agency GCHQ.
British police are examining whether Guardian newspaper staff should be investigated for
terrorism offences over their handling of the leaked data.
