"Misty" the diplodocus is sold at auction

The skeleton of a diplodocus dinosaur that roamed the earth some 160 million years ago has been sold for 480,000 euros at an auction in Britain.

Nicknamed “ Misty” the 17metre-long dinosaur was found in a quarry in Wyoming in the United States.

It is thought to be one of only six relatively complete specimens in the world.

An undisclosed institution bought the skeleton, which auction officials said would be going on public display.
