A giant Louis Vuitton trunk an “exhibition pavilion” adorned with the French fashion house’s famed logo has caused a storm in Moscow’s Red Square.

Lenin’s role in Russian history carries a lot of baggage now his mummified remains which lie in the granite mausoleum are just metres away from the trunk.

“I came here specially to see this disgrace. I heard about it on the radio. I was simply outraged. What was our government thinking of? Putin is driving along here everyday and looking at this disgrace,” said Elena Vladmirovna who lives in Moscow.

Authorities have reportedly ordered the trunk to be moved, Louis Vuitton deny they have received such a request. A case of a simple misunderstanding?
