The city chosen to host the 2020 World Expo will be announced on Wednesday in Paris.
Sao Paulo in Brazil, Izmir in Turkey, the Russian city of Yekaterinburg and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates are all in the running.
The UK and France are backing the bid by Dubai.
Deputy President of the French Business Council in Dubai believes it will be good for French business if the UAE wins.
“Companies already established here might seek, directly or in partnership with UAE companies to showcase their expertise and invest more in bringing staff,” he said.
Expos are held every five years, and see hundreds of countries showcasing their latest architecture and technology.
