With only a few months to go until the 2014 Winter Olympics kick off in Russia, the organising committee has opened new ticket centers in Sochi and Moscow.
In the Russian capital, the first buyers were greeted by the Games’ Ambassador and Olympic bronze medalist Oksana Domnina.
Hundreds of fans flooded both shops early in the morning, looking to purchase or collect tickets they had already paid for on the internet. While some customers managed to get what they came for, others were left frustrated after spending hours waiting in line.
To allow more spectators to experience the Games, organisers have set a limit of four tickets per person for the most popular events. Ticket prices remain the same as during the first sales phase, with the least expensive costing approximately 12 Euros.
