After weeks of speculation, shooting guard Kobe Bryant has signed a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
The 35 year old, who is currently recovering from a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in April, will reportedly be paid a combined 35 million euros for the two seasons and will remain the highest paid player in the NBA.
The extension means Bryant will likely end his illustrious career with the same franchise he started with in 1996. He is currently fourth in the all-time scoring list and has won five NBA championships as well as two Olympic gold medals with the United States.
