Both main candidates in the presidential election in Honduras are claiming victory.
However according to an early count the ruling conservative party’s Juan Orlando Hernandez. has 35 percent of the vote with his leftist rival, Xiomara Castro on just over 28 percent.
A margin of just one vote is needed for a win – there is no run-off election. An electoral tribunal decides whether a recount is necessary.
