Reigning Olympic downhill champion Lindsey Vonn crashed in a training run Tuesday in Colorado, nine months after undergoing major knee surgery.
With less than three months to go before the Winter Games get underway in Sochi, the 29-year-old was taken down the hill on a sled following the incident and is currently being evaluated by her orthopedic surgeon at her home in Vail.
Vonn, was just returning to form after a right knee injury suffered in February at the world championships, needs just three more wins to match Austrian great Annemarie Moser-Proell’s record of 62 World Cup race victories.
