At least 10 Egyptian soldiers have been killed and several more wounded in a car bomb attack in North Sinai.
It happened near the regional capital Al-Arish, close to Israel and the Gaza strip.
Reports say a convoy of buses was carrying soldiers through the area when the roadside bomb went off.
Attacks against Egypt’s security forces have increased since the former president Mohamed Mursi was ousted by the army in July.
Security forces recently launched an offensive against Islamist militants in Sinai.
