Sochi Olympic torch ready for space launch

A rocket due to carry the Olympic torch into space ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympics has been hauled into position in Kazakhstan.

The torch will be taken by a three man crew to the International Space Station where it will go for a spacewalk with two Russian cosmonauts at the weekend.

The flame has also been travelling around Russia by car, train and plane – on a journey of 65,000 kilometres lasting 123 days.
