Police to reveal new leads in missing Madeleine McCann case

Police hunting for British girl Madeleine McCann who went missing in 2007 from a resort in Portugal have released images of a man they want to identify.

He is one of several leads which have emerged since the investigation into the child’s disappearance was reopened by Scotland Yard.

Detective Chief Inspector, Andy Redwood of the Metropolitan Police:

“The e-fits are clear and I’d ask the public to look very carefully at them, and if they know who this person is, please come forward.”

The search for Madeleine who was aged three at the time of her suspected abduction has gone global with several people now of interest to detectives.

In a television programme to be broadcast in the UK, The Netherlands and Germany, a reconstruction of what happened six years ago will be included in a bid to prompt memories.

Madeleine went missing from her room in Portugal’s Praia da Luz resort while her parents were dining with friends at a nearby restaurant. Her mother and father have never given up hope that she is still alive.
