Five people have been killed and hundreds of homes destroyed after Typhoon Fitow hit eastern China.
Four people are still missing after winds of up to 151 km per hour swept through Zehjian and Fujian provinces, close to Shanghai
Residents had to be evacuated from their homes by rescue workers. In some areas the military was brought in to sail steam boats to transfer flood victims.
The storm destroyed more than 40,000 hectares of crop land as well as killing many farm animals.
It is the 23rd typhoon to hit China since the beginning of the year.
