Suicide bombers target Shia pilgrims in Iraq

Suicide bombers targeting Shia Muslims have killed at least 60 people in Iraq.

The attack happened as pilgrims walked to a Shia shrine and come on the eve eve of the anniversary of one of their imams’ deaths.

In the northern city of Mosul, gunmen shot dead two Iraqi journalists as they were filming.

So far no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, though they bear the hallmark of Sunni al Qaeda who view Shia as non believers.

Iraq has seen a steep increase in sectarian violence this year.
