Brazil midfielder Ramires scored twice as Chelsea bounced back to winning ways in the Champions League with a 4-0 matchday two victory over Steaua Bucharest at the National Arena on Tuesday.
The Londoners went ahead in the 20th minute when Ramires lifted the ball over the goalkeeper from three metres and they made it 2-0 with an own goal from Daniel Georgievski just before halftime.
Ramires made it 3-0 with a thunderous finish soon after the
break before Frank Lampard completed the rout with a low shot into the corner from 18 metres on 90 minutes.
The Blues are second in Group E three points behind the Germans of Schalke who made it two wins from two beating FC Basel.
Mesut Ozil once again shined for Arsenal after scoring one and setting up Olivier Giroud for the second as the table topping Gunners beat Napoli two nil at the Emirates in Group F.
Last season’s runners up Borussia Dormtund are second in Group F following a 3-0 victory over Marseille.
Arsenal and Dortmund meet in the next two rounds of games.
Arda Turan scored with three minutes remaining to help Atletico Madrid come from behind and beat Porto 2-1 in Group G.
