One of the worlds most sought after strikers Robert Lewandowski confirmed on Wednesday he will sign with last season’s treble winners Bayern Munich in January.
The 25-year-old joined Bundesliga rivals and last season’s Champions League runners-up Borussia Dortmund in 2010 and went on to help the Ruhr valley side win two straight league titles as well as the German Cup in 2012.
He reportedly fell out with the club’s hierarchy when the board refused to sell him to Bayern in the close season.
But Lewandowski’s contract with Dortmund runs out in June leaving the January transfer window the last opportunity for the club
to cash in on him before he becomes a free agent.
