An exhibition with a difference has opened its high-security doors near Paris.
Nine inmates from Sud Francilien jail – an hour’s drive south of the French capital – have turned curators for the showcase.
The exhibition is entitled “Journey” and is a provocative but deliberate choice by the inmates, many of whom have spent a long time behind bars.
It will run until November 17.
The prison’s director hopes this will be the first of many cultural projects to help with rehabilitation.
