Attacks strike fear into Kenyan business community

The Al-Shabab attack in Nairobi has struck fear into businesspeople across Kenya and especially those working in the important tourism sector. Euronews spoke to one entrepreneur and he said Kenyans want the international community to avoid turning its back on the country:

“Everybod should support us. Governments and private people who come to Kenya should do their best to protect us. The international community should support the Kenyan government and the Kenyan people. People should try and support the industry, and Kenya, by coming to visit. By voting not to come, we are playing straight in to the hands of terrorists because that is what they want to achieve.Kenyans are very resilient people and we’ve been through this in the past several times so we know how to help each other. I really hope that people around the world will understand that we have to support each other on a global scale by donating and understanding and coming to visit.”
