The United States has witnessed yet another mass shooting incident. This time it took place in Chicago.
Thirteen people including a three-year-old boy received gunshot wounds at a park in the Back of the Yards neighbourhood late on Thursday night.
Police have said the incident is gang related and no arrests have been made.
One witness said there were “a lot of shots” and that a “little kid got shot in the face.”
The state of Illinois’ largest city has been torn by gun violence in recent years with more than 500 murders in 2012, according to a report by the FBI released this week.
Chicago police have been working hard to combat the problem with their focus on the city’s gang warfare.
