A Paris court has put back until February the trial of nine members of the feminist group Femen, who are accused of defacing one of the bells of Notre Dame.

Last February naked activists burst into the cathedral and tolled the bells with pieces of wood to celebrate former Pope Benedict’s resignation and to denounce homophobia.

The women were tackled by security guards, with both sides accusing the other of violence.
