Mexico: murder hunt underway for 'Diana the hunter of bus drivers'

Police in the Mexican town of Ciudad Juarez have launched a search for the killer of two bus drivers.

They are investigating claims that a woman is killing them out of revenge for the sexual abuse against female passengers.

Eye witnesses have reported the suspected killer is a woman in her fifties, dark skinned and with dyed blonde hair or a wig.

According to the District Attorney’s office there are similarities between the two shootings:

“Details in the investigation files show similarities between the times, how they were committed and the weapon used,” said spokesman Juan Morales.

A local newspaper has received an email from “Diana, the hunter of bus drivers” claiming responsibility.

Ciudad Juarez became infamous in the 1990s for the murders of hundreds of women, many of them factory workers.

Several bus drivers were arrested but the majority of the crimes remain unsolved.
